FAQs

Why am I unable to pay for my order?

A minimum of $10 is required to process payment and ship an order.

Why is my product in a plastic container?

Some products are sold in glass jars, while others are sold in PET plastic jars. Why? Lightweight, durable, safe, and with a lower carbon footprint than other materials, PET is the most recyclable plastic in the world. This also helps us reduce product weight and, consequently, transportation costs. We encourage you to recycle your containers!

Why is my package box not an original box?

We encourage recycling and reducing our environmental footprint. You may receive your order in a reused box from our house, our café, or a supplier. This also allows us to reduce our product and shipping costs.

How long and how can I store my soap?

Soaps can be stored for several years, although it is best to use them within one year of purchase. Essential oils may become less present and colors (mineral and/or natural) may fade, especially since we limit the use of essential oils. Some stains may appear after a few months; this is a normal reaction to "superfatting." It is best to keep soaps away from humidity and water jets. It is essential to dry them after use on a soap dish (we have beautiful pine ones in the store!). Our soaps are cured for 6 weeks so that saponification is properly carried out.

What is the process of making soaps?

We use cold saponification (traditional method). Our soaps are handmade, one by one, so colors may vary.

How do I store my bath bombs?

It's important to keep bath bombs away from moisture (ideally away from the bathroom!). A sealed "zyploc" type bag is perfectly suitable and voila! In the fridge!

Why do bath salts no longer release odor into the water?

Essential oils are used sparingly in our products. They are precious and can sometimes be irritating to the skin. In addition, they lose their odor when in contact with water; they are said to be hydrophobic. Since they do not mix with water, their odor disperses. Most products that continue to smell in water or on the skin are composed of fragrance oil and perfumes (chemicals).

Why does my candle have a “frosty” appearance?

Most commercial candle makers use paraffin and chemical ingredients to prevent this frosty effect. We use natural soy wax, and since the candles are poured individually, it is perfectly normal to see this frosty appearance. Others prefer to use amber containers or wrap-around labels to mask this effect. For us, the frosted appearance is a guarantee that your candle was made with pure soy wax.
