Choosing solid hair care means prioritizing a simpler, gentler, and more conscious routine, while reducing unnecessary packaging.
Our shampoos are free from parabens, sulfates like SLS, and other synthetic ingredients that can irritate the skin or have long-term adverse effects. Our products never contain ingredients derived from petroleum chemistry.
Choosing bar shampoos or conditioners is a concrete step towards a zero-waste lifestyle. Unlike liquid products sold in bottles, solid care products are generally packaged in recyclable cardboard or, in some cases, without packaging at all.
This alternative significantly reduces single-use plastic waste, which takes hundreds of years to decompose and pollutes our oceans and soils.
Solid care contributes to reducing our environmental footprint.
We take particular care in the manufacturing of each product. Every soap, body product, or even household product is made one by one. We are a very small team, and we have control over manufacturing methods and the origin of raw materials. Each product is made by us, and our products are tested by our family and close friends before being put on sale.
Like all other artisan producers, we offer complete transparency on our production methods and the sources of our ingredients, allowing our customers to know exactly what they are applying to their skin.
We source our raw materials from local and Quebec suppliers. When materials are not available in Quebec, we source them from other Canadian suppliers. Yes, this may be reflected in the selling cost, but it is a conscious choice.
Our natural shampoos, like most of our products, bear the Made in Quebec badge.
Our bar shampoos are much more than just hair care products: they are artisanal products made with conscience, respecting living beings and the planet. Each bar is formulated without animal cruelty, from carefully chosen natural ingredients, and within the framework of fair trade practices.
By choosing these solid care products, you are not just adopting a more ecological routine: you are directly supporting local artisans, human-scale businesses, and contributing to the revitalization of a circular and sustainable economy.
For us, ethics is not a slogan, but a fundamental value. Every product is designed with integrity, with a concern for quality, simplicity… and common sense.
The bar shampoo, like other artisanal care products, transforms the hair care routine into a true sensory experience. Its soft texture, natural fragrances, and the therapeutic benefits of its plant ingredients bring a touch of well-being to each use.
Our products never contain artificial colors, detergents, parabens, petroleum-based surfactants, or preservatives.
Our products rarely contain micas, essential oils, and fragrances, because we don't like to pour precious oils down the drain and we don't like headaches.
Our products always contain eco-responsible, ethical, organic ingredients, and a lot of love. We strive to find the balance between sustainable development and judicious pricing.
We are members of the Handcrafted Bath & Body Guild and our products are declared to Health Canada.
Honestly, it took me a while to "convert" to natural shampoos, and even longer to bar conditioners! Having been a hairdresser in another life, I swore by my professional hair care ranges. I must say that my hair had been bleached and mistreated for a long time… and on top of that, it's curly, dry, in short: not the easiest to tame!
One day, I decided to cut my hair and start over, with more natural, gentler care. Would I go back? No, definitely not. My scalp is healthy, my hair feels clean all the time, and I feel so much better.
And bar conditioners? Frankly, they are much more hydrating than some expensive hair masks. I admit that, from time to time, I still use a "real" shampoo… just to use up old stock. But once the inventory is gone, I intend to continue my routine with 100% natural products.
I still continued to dye my hair — hello gray hair! In the end, despite these "chemical mistreatments," my hair is beautiful… and no one sees the difference.
